Instruction is provided by Ernest Mendez, who began training in martial arts in 1984. Mendez started his personal training career in 1990 and later received his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt in 2017 under Professor Eduardo de Lima of Gracie Barra out of Clearwater, Florida. He has called the Roaring Fork Valley home since 2006, coaching students across combat disciplines. The gym provides both group classes and private sessions for kids, men, and women ages 5 and up.
