The academy was founded in 2021 to provide a community space for martial arts practice. Training is overseen by Gym Owner/Head Coach Greg Noble, a 4 Stripe Purple Belt. Noble began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in 2012 under black belt Nick Braley of Triumph Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu before establishing the Bar Harbor gym.
