10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Decatur

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Decatur is situated at 108 Lenwood Road SE in Decatur, Alabama. Established as the inaugural 10th Planet academy in the southeastern United States, the school provides technical no-gi grappling and ground fighting instruction. The coaching staff is guided by head jiu-jitsu coach Brandon Mccaghren, alongside coaches Josh Diaddario, Nick Sahf, and Tyler Spurlin. The academy teaches the Eddie Bravo clinch and guard systems, focusing on movement restriction, leverage control, and joint locks without traditional gi fabrics. Training programs also feature ground fighting techniques tailored for mixed martial arts, as well as youth martial arts classes centered on physical conditioning and bully prevention. The weekly schedule includes early morning 6:00 AM workouts, midday training blocks, and evening classes Monday through Saturday. Prospective students can experience the gym by booking a free class with no strings attached.
