A-Side Jiu Jitsu and Fitness is a martial arts school situated on Lankershim Blvd in the N. Hollywood and Toluca Lake area of California. The academy provides Brazilian jiu-jitsu instruction and dedicated fitness conditioning classes in an active training environment open every day. Martial arts instruction and coach development are overseen by Professor Arman, who directs the curriculum and leads an internal apprenticeship program that develops homegrown coaches through structured teaching coursework. Grappling classes encompass both traditional gi training and no-gi sessions, focusing on foundational mechanics, escapes, control, and practical self-defense applications. Youth programming introduces children to jiu-jitsu fundamentals, discipline, and personal confidence through age-appropriate drills. In addition to group grappling classes, the academy offers non-combat fitness conditioning classes designed to build cardiovascular stamina, alongside private jiu-jitsu lessons and after-school enrichment options.
