Alliance BJJ Lakewood

Alliance BJJ Lakewood provides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction and self-defense education at 12828 Pacific Hwy SW in Lakewood, Washington. Operating as an official affiliate of the global Alliance Jiu-Jitsu team, which was founded in 1993 by Romero Jacare Cavalcanti, Fabio Gurgel, and Alexandre Paiva and has secured thirteen World championship team titles, the academy serves students across Lakewood and surrounding western Washington communities. The academy is owned and directed by James Johnson Jr., who began his martial arts training under his father James Johnson Sr., earned a black belt in Tang Soo Do under the Universal Martial Arts Federation, and wrestled competitively in high school and in the army as a Greco-Roman wrestler. Instructional offerings encompass Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Women's Only classes, and structured youth programs including Baby Eagles for ages 5 to 6, Eagles 1 and 2, and preschool classes. Prospective students can register for a complimentary one-on-one introductory class.
