Altruist Mixed Martial Arts operates as a non-profit martial arts training center at 1031 Whitney Ranch Drive in Henderson, Nevada. Serving the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area, the academy offers practical combat training and fitness instruction in a family-oriented environment. The school was founded by head instructor Eric Umali, who has instructed and managed martial arts facilities full time since 2011. Umali previously led The Pit Vegas and co-founded 10th Planet Downtown, holding third-degree black belts in Hawaiian Kempo and Isshinryu Karate along with a brown belt in grappling under Ed Kang of Infinite Grappling. Coursework spans no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, karate-style kickboxing, mixed martial arts conditioning, and Filipino martial arts covering escrima and kali stick fighting. Youth programs are structured by age brackets, featuring Mini's classes for children ages 3 to 5 and youth MMA for ages 6 to 12. Prospective students can participate in a complimentary trial class.
