Located at 319 Piercy Rd in San Jose, California, Battle Control MMA provides mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction. The academy serves martial arts practitioners, fitness seekers, and combat sports athletes throughout the San Jose area. The school is led by head coach Greg Lara, whose martial arts background originated in 1975 and who began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu pathway in 1996. Training incorporates fundamental grappling techniques, takedowns, guard manipulation, and defensive submissions designed to build well-rounded combat capability and athletic confidence. Classes accommodate both beginners learning fundamental self-defense and experienced competitors preparing for tournament grappling bouts.
