Bernardo Faria Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is located at 131A Great Road in Bedford, Massachusetts. Established by five-time IBJJF world champion and IBJJF Hall of Fame member Bernardo Faria, the academy provides technical Brazilian jiu-jitsu instruction for children, teenagers, and adult practitioners ranging from complete beginners to competitive athletes. Instruction is led by Bernardo Faria alongside head instructor Marcos Tinoco, a Gi and No-Gi world champion, four-time Master world champion, and black belt under Marcelo Garcia. The teaching roster also includes Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belts Jared Welman, Joe Woo, and Joe Huang, who direct technical drills, positional sparring, and competition development across morning, midday, and evening sessions. The adult training curriculum divides classes into Fundamentals, Intermediate, and Advanced tiers, incorporating both gi and no-gi grappling as well as scheduled open mat rounds. Youth training is divided into targeted age brackets covering 4 to 6 years, 7 to 9 years, and 10 to 15 years, focusing on motor coordination, discipline, and practical ground defense.
