Binding Arts Jiu-Jitsu

Binding Arts Jiu Jitsu operates at 30 Ramtown-Greenville Road in Howell, New Jersey. The academy was established in 2022 to provide martial arts instruction within a supportive, family-friendly training environment. The school was founded by Prof. Stephen Dobbins, who serves as Owner & Head Coach. Dobbins has trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2009 and earned his black belt from Ademir Oliveira in 2021 after more than a decade of active practice and competition. The instructional staff also includes Prof. Ben Sherman, who serves as Women's Program Head Coach & Adults Coach and is recognized as the first black belt produced by Binding Arts. The academy provides structured martial arts programs for youth and adult practitioners. Children can enroll in Little Vikings for ages 3 to 6 or Kids BJJ for ages 7 to 11 to build coordination, focus, and fundamental grappling skills. Adult offerings feature Adult BJJ alongside a specialized Women's BJJ program.
