BlackHat Jiu Jitsu Club is a veteran-owned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training facility located at 6724 Phillips Industrial Ln Unit 8 in Jacksonville, Florida. The club was founded by military veterans Rob and Travis, who first met while serving together in the Marine Corps with the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines in 2015. Rob earned his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in December 2023 after years of dedicated training across military deployments. The academy provides modern grappling instruction centered on technical clarity, mutual respect, and functional mat application. Classes encompass Adult Jiu Jitsu and designated open mat sessions, accommodating practitioners across all skill levels from white belts to advanced grapplers. Training emphasizes guard retention, takedowns, submission chains, and positional control without hierarchical gym politics. The facility offers new students a ten-day free trial covering unlimited adult classes and open mats. Interested martial artists in the Jacksonville area can visit the facility in athletic clothing to begin their trial period.
