Brazilian Martial Arts Center delivers multidisciplinary combat sports education and defensive tactics training at 700 Mystic Avenue in Somerville, Massachusetts. Established in 2001 by head instructor Marcelo Siqueira, the facility sits directly off Interstate 93 at Exit 21, providing martial arts instruction across Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing, and youth karate alongside complimentary practice lessons. Head instructor Marcelo Siqueira began his martial arts training in 1977 at Chute Boxe in Brazil, achieving a fifth-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Julio Cesar Pereira, a fourth-dan black belt in Wado Ryu karate, a judo black belt, and a black-and-white prajioud in Muay Thai. The coaching staff features BJJ black belt and collegiate physical education graduate Alex Marshall, alongside black belts Adamo, Karim Hallab, and Jesus Diaz, plus fifth-degree Taekwondo master Felipe Vignoli. Training programs encompass adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai striking, mixed martial arts sparring, and children's martial arts classes.
