Bujinkan: Living-Warrior Dojo

Bujinkan: Living-Warrior Dojo is situated at 1921 N Wildwood St in Boise, Idaho. The dojo is dedicated to the traditional Japanese martial arts of the Bujinkan, teaching historical Ninjutsu and classical samurai battlefield disciplines to adults, teenagers, and children across the Boise area. The dojo head instructor is Shane Sensei, a Shihan in the Bujinkan and licensed member of the Shidoshi-Kai. Shane began his martial arts training in 1990 in karate before committing to the Bujinkan in 1998. He travels regularly to Japan to train directly under Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi and senior master instructors Nagato Daishihan and Noguchi Daishihan. Assistant instruction is provided by Gabriel Sensei, who holds a Shodan rank. Curriculum encompasses unarmed self-defense, bone-breaking and joint locking methods, rolling and falling mechanics, and traditional Japanese weaponry. Training emphasizes non-sport combat strategy, situational awareness, and historical combat movement.
