Burnsville Martial Arts Academy is a martial arts school located at 11921 Portland Avenue in Burnsville, Minnesota. Founded in 2021 by co-owners Nakita and Justin "Gus" Kratzke, the facility provides instruction in mixed martial arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Filipino martial arts for students of various skill levels. Instruction is led by lifelong martial artists with extensive coaching backgrounds. Head coach Gus Kratzke is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Professor Greg Nelson, a Senior Instructor in Muay Thai under Grandmaster Surachai Sirisute, and a former professional mixed martial arts competitor who held an eight-and-one record and a regional welterweight title. Co-owner Nakita Kratzke is a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blue belt under Professor Chris McCune, a Full Instructor in Muay Thai, and an Apprentice Instructor in Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do concepts and Kali under Guro Dan Inosanto. The academy features mixed martial arts training that blends ground grappling, wrestling takedowns, and stand-up striking, alongside private instruction options. Prospective students can arrange an introductory trial class.
