Cactus Jiu Jitsu Academy

Situated at 7302 E Helm Dr #2005 in Scottsdale, Arizona, Cactus Jiu Jitsu Academy delivers martial arts and self-defense instruction for adults and youth. The academy is an official member of the Jiu Jitsu Global Federation, maintaining direct lineage to Pedro Sauer and Rickson Gracie. Instruction is led by Professor Val Larralde, a third-degree black belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu under Master Pedro Sauer and a third-degree black belt in Judo, alongside Coach Ed, a Pedro Sauer black belt with thirty years of teaching experience. Assistant coaches Ian and Kellen assist across youth classes and fundamentals. The academy teaches men, women, and children ages five and older, offering youth classes for ages 5 to 13 alongside adult fundamentals and advanced sessions. Group classes, belt test preparation, and private lessons run throughout the week, with prospective practitioners invited to participate in a seven-day trial.
