Carnicella MMA

Carnicella MMA is a martial arts school and training academy situated at 308 Colfax Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey. Located directly across from Clifton High School in Passaic County, the facility provides combat sports instruction for both youth and adult practitioners. The academy is directed by head coach and instructor Paul Carnicella, who began studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under national Jiu-Jitsu and Judo champion Edson Carvalho. Carnicella is a detective with the Newark Police Emergency Response Team, served as the primary instructor for the Combatives Fighting System for police tactical units, has instructed military groups such as U.S. Army Special Forces, and was inducted into the New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame as a trainer on December 1, 2017. Training programs encompass beginner to advanced classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mixed martial arts, and defensive tactics. The academy also offers specialized rates for police, fire, and emergency medical personnel alongside full access to an affiliated fitness facility.
