Cephas Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy operates at 7703 N. El Capitan Way, Suite 120 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Founded in October 2017, the academy is directed by head instructor Sensei Jerell Cephas. Cephas earned his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Cobrinha in 2021, holds a third-degree black belt in Cephas Karate-Jiu Jitsu, and brings extensive experience in competitive mixed martial arts and scholastic wrestling to the training mats. The academy provides martial arts coursework for adults, teenagers, and children. Adult practitioners can train in gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, alongside hybrid Karate-Jujitsu classes emphasizing self-defense and functional conditioning. Youth programs are organized into age-appropriate divisions: young children ages three-and-a-half through five, kids ages five through eight, kids no-gi jiu-jitsu, and youth classes for ages nine through fifteen. Advanced students and competitors can participate in brown belt sparring sessions and youth competition team training for ages seven through fourteen. Training emphasizes disciplined movement, technique retention, and character growth in a supportive community setting. The schedule also features Sunday open mat sessions for sparring and drilling. Prospective students can begin by registering for a one-day trial pass.
