Champlin Jiu-Jitsu Academy

Champlin Jiu-Jitsu Academy operates at 6935 Lake Plaza Dr Suite B7-B9 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Serving martial artists across Northeast Indianapolis, the school delivers Brazilian jiu-jitsu instruction centered on ground combat, positional mastery, and leverage-based self-defense. The academy is owned and directed by head instructor Drew Champlin, who studied exercise science in college before beginning his Brazilian jiu-jitsu training. Champlin began teaching in 2016 as a purple belt, received his black belt in 2020 from Professor Alan Stockman of the Carlson Gracie lineage, and opened the academy in January 2022. Champlin is also an IBJJF tournament competitor whose record includes gold medals and a second-place finish at the World Masters at the black belt rank. The academy provides structured classes for students of all experience levels. Program offerings encompass Kids BJJ, Adult Beginner Fundamentals, Adult All Levels, and Adult No-Gi. Instruction incorporates mechanical breakdowns, positional drilling, and live sparring to foster athletic agility, tactical awareness, and practical self-defense proficiency.
