CHECKMAT Folsom Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Situated at 316 Natoma Street in Folsom, California, Beda Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy operates as an affiliate of the Checkmat team. The school provides martial arts instruction for children, adolescents, and adults throughout the Folsom community. Instruction is led by head coach Elizandro Beda “Santista”, a fourth-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Leonardo Vieira, who earned his black belt in 2007. The curriculum covers gi and no-gi grappling techniques, ground control leverage, escapes, and joint submissions, complemented by dedicated women's classes taught by co-owner Brandy Beda. Class offerings accommodate diverse student needs, featuring Pee Wee classes for ages 4 to 9, Youth sessions for ages 10 to 15, and adult training sessions throughout the week.
