Claymore Fighting & Fitness delivers martial arts and self-defense training at 11547 Memorial Parkway in Huntsville, Alabama. Founded in 2008 by Coach Ryan Rushton, a combat-decorated veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq, the academy initially operated from a partner facility before establishing an independent location and later opening its south Huntsville headquarters. The academy emphasizes building confidence, functional stamina, community fellowship, and mental fortitude through disciplined combat sports training. Instruction is directed by founder Ryan Rushton, who holds a 3rd Degree Krav Maga Black Belt. His martial arts journey began in 2000 in the military, where he trained in Modern Army Combatives and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, including regular instructional sessions under Royce Gracie before supplementing his hand-to-hand training with Krav Maga. Training programs span diverse martial disciplines for youth and adults, including Krav Maga, Bang Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and FightingFit conditioning. Youth programs include Little Warriors for ages 5 to 10 and Young Warriors for ages 10 to 14, and prospective students can evaluate the academy through a free introductory class.
