Clinch Academy

Clinch Academy is located at 500 Highland St in Frederick, Maryland. The school is owned and operated by Luke Rinehart and Caty Rinehart, with Luke serving as head instructor after beginning martial arts training in 1983. Instruction is supported by a coaching roster that includes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts Joshua Madison and Jason, alongside mixed martial arts coaches such as UFC veteran Matt Semelsberger. The training facility provides a multidisciplinary curriculum featuring Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in both Gi and No-Gi formats, mixed martial arts, and kickboxing. Specialty conditioning classes include ClinchFlow Fitness & Mobility, which blends body mechanics with calisthenics and yoga, and ClinchFit fitness kickboxing. Youth programs provide age-structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction emphasizing fundamental defensive skills and personal discipline. Clinch Academy conducts morning, afternoon, and evening training sessions structured for hobbyists and active competition team members. Prospective students can register for introductory trial classes to visit the Frederick academy and begin training on the mats.
