Council Bluffs Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Council Bluffs Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu operates as CBBJJ Academy at 300 West Broadway Suite 112 in Council Bluffs, IA 51503. Founded after Professor Byron and Coach Britt relocated to Council Bluffs, Iowa in December 2022. General inquiries and class registrations can be handled by call or text at 712-796-1558. Classes are taught by Professor Byron, who began practicing Jiu-Jitsu at age 42 and earned his black belt in December 2021 at Gracie Barra in Upland, CA. He teaches alongside Coach Britt, a purple belt who started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2019 at Gracie Barra in Upland, CA under Professor Ana Laura and Rafael following more than five years of competitive wrestling. The school maintains a competition team and welcomes practitioners to try a free class. In addition, the academy coordinates with Fostering Jiu-Jitsu, a nonprofit organization founded by Professor Byron with Coach Britt serving as Events Coordinator, which covers youth tuition to train at CBBJJ.
