Cruz MMA Academy is a combat sports training school located at 99 E Centre St. in Nutley, NJ. The academy provides martial arts coaching, functional strength conditioning, and competitive training for athletes across northern NJ. The school is led by head coach Plinio Cruz, an experienced cornerman who was recognized as an ESPN Coach of the Year award winner. Instructional programs span mixed martial arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and kickboxing and Muay Thai. The curriculum teaches striking combinations, defensive footwork, takedowns, and ground submission grappling, accommodating novice participants starting their martial arts path alongside competitive fighters preparing for combat sports bouts.
