Daimyo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Kickboxing operates a martial arts training academy at 9290 North Thornydale Road, Suite 104, in Tucson, Arizona. Established in 2010 by founders and head instructors Manuel Flores and Brenda Soto, the facility provides technical grappling and striking instruction for youth and adult practitioners. Professor Brenda Soto is an IBJJF Pan American champion in both her division and the absolute category across brown and black belt ranks, and she pioneered the first women-only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program in Arizona. Professor Manuel Flores brings a competitive background spanning scholastic wrestling, amateur boxing, kickboxing, and international Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments, including medal finishes at the IBJJF Masters World Championships and Pan Ams. Youth instruction is supported by coach Chris Parvi, an Air Force veteran and firefighter lieutenant. Course offerings include adult gi and no-gi jiu-jitsu, kickboxing and Muay Thai striking, women-only jiu-jitsu classes, and structured youth programs divided into brackets for ages 7 to 15 and participants over age 15.
