Daruma Dojo Milpitas is situated at 61 Serra Way, Suite 206 in Milpitas, California. The martial arts dojo provides technical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and submission grappling for children, teenagers, and adult practitioners. The academy was founded by Professor Alberto Juarez, a 3rd-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Ricardo Barros and a black belt in Judo, who holds a degree in kinesiology from San Jose State University. Coaching focuses on leverage, joint mobilization, throwing mechanics, takedown defense, and ground positioning. Programs include Junior Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for ages 4 to 6, Youth BJJ for ages 7 to 9, and Teen BJJ for ages 10 to 15. The dojo also offers Kids BJJ for ages 6 to 15, Adult BJJ 101 beginner classes, Judo sessions, all-levels competition training, and open mat practice.
