Downtown Grappling

Downtown Grappling is a private grappling school situated in historic downtown Kingston, NY. The academy is currently accepting new students, open to participants across all ages and experience levels in small group training sessions. Instructional programs featured at the Kingston academy include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training alongside dedicated offerings such as a kid's program and women's self defense classes. Training formats emphasize small group instruction designed for the growth and development of the grappling arts, catering to seasoned grappling competitors as well as complete beginners. The school is owned and operated by head coach Raphael Dijk, known as Coach Raph, who is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has been teaching in the Hudson Valley for the past twelve years.
