Escondido Combat Academy

Escondido Combat Academy is a combat sports and martial arts training center located at 701 S Escondido Blvd in Escondido, California. The gym delivers structured instruction in submission grappling, boxing, and kickboxing for youth and adult practitioners throughout North County. The academy is owned and instructed by head coach Dom Chisem, a Jiu-Jitsu brown belt, professional MMA fighter, and former AFC MMA champion, alongside co-owner Coach Jen Chisem, who oversees strength, conditioning, and women's self-defense. The striking staff includes Muay Thai coach Colin Lauterbach and kickboxing instructor Isaac Mwereru. The schedule provides training across morning, evening, and weekend time slots for recreational students and active competitors. Program options include Beginner No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals, boxing technique and pad work, youth ABCs Development classes, and youth boxing and kickboxing sessions focused on discipline, balance, and athletic development.
