Espiritu Jiu-Jitsu

Espiritu Jiu-Jitsu operates at 1267 Victoria Ave in Oxnard, California. The martial arts academy provides instruction in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and judo fundamentals for students of all experience levels. Program selections include dedicated classes for adults, teens, and youth practitioners. The academy was founded by head instructor Professor Jeremy Espiritu, a black belt under fifth-degree black belt Shawn Williams of Renzo Gracie Los Angeles. Espiritu brings over a decade of grappling and judo training to the mats, having also trained Muay Thai in Bangkok and judo in Tokyo, and is joined on the coaching staff by Carlos Contreras Jr. Classes emphasize positional control, takedowns, defensive posture, and submissions in both gi and no-gi settings. The youth curriculum develops physical coordination, discipline, and anti-bullying awareness in a positive practice atmosphere.
