Florence Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is located at 602 Veterans Drive in Florence, AL 35630. New practitioners can begin training with an introductory session because your first class is free, followed by flexible tuition terms providing a daily mat fee, month to month payment, or 1 year contract. The academy was founded in 2007 by Michael Mann, a Carlson Gracie black belt, Air Force veteran, and career firefighter with the City of Florence Fire Rescue. The school operates as part of the Carlson Gracie Team, preparing students who wish to train for martial arts competition alongside those focused on self-defense and physical endurance. Training schedules feature instruction in both Gi and No Gi grappling across the week. Daily class options include sessions for adults, a dedicated kids class, and a beginner's class. Additional training sessions include MMA Grappling, MMA Striking, and weekly open mat sessions scheduled on Friday and Saturday mornings.
