GF Team Buffalo / Spar BJJ

SPAR Self Defense conducts Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training at 4685 Transit Rd. in Williamsville, New York. As an affiliate representing the Grappling Fight Team, also known as GF Team, the academy serves martial arts practitioners across the Buffalo region. The school maintains a training environment equipped with Pro Series Zebra Mats that are sanitized daily. Instruction features Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion and Brazilian National Champion Eduardo Barboza da Silva, alongside Professor Matt Godden. The teaching staff also includes Professor John Canestaro, Professor Joao, Professor Ken, Professor Pedro, Professor Chris, Professor Bayo, Coach Mark, and Coach G-dot. The facility has also hosted specialized training seminars with GFTeam founder Mestre Julio Cesar Pereira. Programs provide unlimited Gi and No Gi BJJ classes for practitioners seeking competition preparation, self-defense skills, or general physical fitness. Structured training accommodates participants ranging from first-time beginners to advanced practitioners. Outside of mat training, students can also enjoy acai bowls served at the facility Monday through Thursday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
