GFTeam Tennessee

GFTeam Tennessee delivers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling instruction from its facility located at 7845 Trinity Road, Suite 102, in Cordova, Tennessee. Established in March 2018, the academy is owned and operated by head instructor David Morris. Morris began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1995 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, relocated to the Memphis area in 2008 as a purple belt, and earned his black belt in January 2018. He is a first-degree black belt under Denilson Pimenta with over two decades of grappling experience and active tournament competition in the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation and American Grappling Federation. Instructional staff includes no-gi coach Courtney Smith, who earned a Judo black belt in 2021 and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in 2022 under Morris and Pimenta, alongside brown belt instructors Daniel Baumlein and Anwin Mathew. The school provides classes for all experience levels, including youth gi and no-gi programs for ages 4 to 14, homeschool sessions, adult gi and no-gi classes for ages 14 and older, wrestling, and open mat practice. Prospective students can begin with a free trial class.
