Gladiator Jiu Jitsu Family

Gladiator Jiu Jitsu Family is situated at 9509 Central Ave Unit F in Montclair, California. The academy provides grappling and martial arts instruction to practitioners from Montclair, Pomona, Claremont, Ontario, and Upland. Head instructor Kenneth Penn was born in Montclair and holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. An active competitor, Penn won first place at the 2018 IBJJF NoGi World Championship and took third place at the 2017 IBJJF World Master Championship. Coach Denny Meelarp, a retired Marine Corps veteran with twenty-two years of service, holds a black belt in MCMAP and received his Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Penn in 2022. The school divides its martial arts curriculum into age-specific and skill-focused classes, including Preschool BJJ Classes, Kids BJJ Classes, Teens BJJ Classes, and Adult BJJ Classes. In addition to Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the facility provides no-gi wrestling instruction and Muay Thai striking sessions.
