Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu operates at 6102 Ayers Street, Suite 108, in Corpus Christi, Texas. The academy is led by head coach Professor Leo Cantu, a fourth-degree black belt and the first Gracie Barra black belt in Corpus Christi. Professor Cantu began training in 1993, learning under Carley Gracie in San Francisco before continuing his development under Professor Vinicius Draculino Magalhaes at Gracie Barra Belo Horizonte in Brazil. The school organizes instruction through the structured Gracie Barra curriculum, supported by local instructors including third-degree black belt Jeff Hopper, Professor Robert Fonseca, and Coach Evan Moreno. Adult coursework includes GB1 Fundamentals, advanced technique sessions, and focused women's self-defense classes. The youth program teaches students ages 3 to 15, divided into Little Champions and Juniors divisions to instill discipline, focus, and practical grappling basics.
