Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense operates at 16033 N 77th St Suite B in Scottsdale, Arizona. As an official academy of the international Gracie Barra network, the school delivers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction and self-defense education for youth and adult practitioners across Scottsdale. Instruction at the academy is headed by Professor Gavin Sonnier, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and certified instructor who serves as the head instructor at Gracie Barra Scottsdale. The teaching staff also includes certified instructor Coach Amanda. The coaching staff guides classes through foundational body positioning, guard passing strategies, defensive framing, and controlled submissions, emphasizing technical precision, safety, and mutual support on the mats. Curriculum offerings follow the structured Gracie Barra developmental structure.
