Prospective students and local families can get started by registering online to try a free introduction class with no contracts or obligations. Professor Joel Townsend serves as Head Professor for the academy. A 4th Degree Black Belt under Master Rodrigo Lopez who earned his black belt in 2007, he brings 27 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience and 19 professional MMA bouts to the school. Class programming provides dedicated adult classes and children's classes organized for distinct age groups. Youth offerings also include the Gracie Barra Summer Camp, where children participate in martial arts training during summer. Training sessions take place on mats that are cleaned on a daily basis.
