Gracie Barra Tucson Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Self-Defense operates at 5700 E Broadway Blvd in Tucson, Arizona. The academy delivers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction and self-defense training for children, teenagers, and adult practitioners throughout Tucson. The instructional team is headed by Chief Instructor Professor Enrique Villegas, a 3rd degree Black Belt representing the Gracie Barra New Mexico lineage with over 24 years of experience. Head Instructor Professor Albert Leyva is a Black Belt who has trained under the tutelage of Professor Enrique since 2013. The coaching roster also features Professor Chris Rivera, a Black Belt who began training martial arts in 2003 and received his black belt promotion in April 2023. Academy coursework encompasses structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs for adults of all experience levels, self-defense for women, and age-divided youth divisions. Youth classes feature Little Champions for ages 5 to 7, Little Champions for ages 8 to 12, and Juniors programs, emphasizing positional control, motor coordination, and practical defensive technique.
