Gracie Ohio Jiu-Jitsu Academy

Gracie Ohio Jiu-Jitsu Academy provides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense instruction at 285 N. Sunbury Road in Westerville, OH. Operating as a Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy affiliate, the school delivers traditional Gracie Jiu-Jitsu focused on realistic street defense, leverage mechanics, and athletic progression. The academy traces its origins to 1990, when Dr. Jeffrey Hudson began training with the Gracie family, officially establishing the school as a Gracie Academy training association in 1992. Dr. Hudson studied at the Gracie Academy in Torrance, California, invested in the inaugural Ultimate Fighting Challenge events, and received extensive personal instruction from Grand Master Relson Gracie. Competitors from the academy have gone on to medal at international Pan-American and World Jiu-Jitsu championships. Curriculum offerings include entry-level fundamentals classes covering street self-defense from white to blue belt, advanced training, mixed-level sessions, and open mat drilling. Youth programs serve young students through Little Champs and Junior divisions.
