Grappler's Garage

Grappler's Garage operates in the coastal city of Virginia Beach, Virginia, serving grappling practitioners throughout the surrounding area. Founded in 2020, the academy provides specialized combat sports instruction in an athletic environment focused on self-awareness, discipline, and athletic growth. The coaching staff is led by head coach Jorge Otero, who brings more than 20 years of coaching experience and over 40 years of competitive wrestling background. The instructional team also features wrestling coach Jim Mercantini and strength and conditioning coach Ben Clemens, providing integrated technical and athletic preparation for athletes. Curriculum offerings include Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, and submission grappling for various skill levels. Training focuses on practical takedowns, mat control, and submission defense, helping members build physical strength, technical awareness, and self-defense capabilities through regular practice on the mats.
