Greenwood Aikido

Greenwood Aikido is a traditional martial arts dojo located at 27479 Lock Haven Court in Temecula, California. Situated in a garden setting surrounded by bamboo, the school teaches Japanese Aikido alongside Aiki Toho Iaido sword practice for adult students. The academy is affiliated with the Nishikaze Aikido Society of America and the Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo, Japan. Instruction follows the teachings of Shoji Nishio, and all student and instructor ranking is accredited directly through Aikido world headquarters at the Aikikai Foundation. Training is directed by Sensei Philip Greenwood and Heather Greenwood. Instruction focuses on non-competitive Japanese martial arts designed to control and redirect conflict while maintaining practical self-defense. Classes are open to adults ages 18 and older, emphasizing calm focus, body centeredness, balance, mobility, and fluid movement without relying on physical force.
