Grey Wolf Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu operates at 1199 Fairfield Ave in Eugene, Oregon. Head Instructor and Owner Michael Yi holds a second-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Renato "Babalu" Sobral. The school traces its grappling lineage directly from Grand Master Carlos Gracie, Sr. through Master Carlos Gracie, Jr. and Professor Renato Sobral to Michael Yi. Yi started martial arts during high school with Tae Kwon Do and Kenpo Karate before beginning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2009 at Babalu's Iron Gym, previously known as Gracie Barra Cerritos. He started instructing adult fundamentals in 2014, received his black belt in October 2018 as Sobral's second black belt student, and opened the Eugene academy in 2018. Instruction includes adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes across both gi and no-gi formats alongside a structured youth curriculum. In addition to ground grappling, striking programs are led by Guro Bobby Stroup. These include an Integrated Kickboxing system combining Kajukenbo, Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Martial Arts, and Muay Lao, as well as an Island Weapon Arts curriculum teaching Kali and Irish Stick Fighting.
