Ground ZERO Kansas City is located in the Waldo area at 305 W. 80th Street, Kansas City, MO 64114. New practitioners can participate with a 1 Week Free Trial. Instruction is taught by Prof. Derek Ruffin, an IBJJF No-Gi World Champ, former professional MMA fighter, and former KCPD SWAT member with over 30 years of martial arts experience who trained under Prof. Leonardo Pecahna. The academy trains as an affiliate of team Kronos. Training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu features classes running Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 6:30am, Monday - Thursday at 7:00 pm, and Saturdays at 10:00 am for a cost of $130 / month. In addition, the kids class schedule holds sessions Monday & Wednesday at 6:00 pm and Saturdays at 9:00 am for $100 / month. Private instruction is also available through the Evolution of Defense program.
