Gulf Coast Jiu Jitsu

Gulf Coast Jiu Jitsu operates at 1175a Hillcrest Rd. Suite 2 in Mobile, Alabama. Following the Rickson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu curriculum, the academy provides traditional martial arts training, tactical ground fighting instruction, and practical self-defense education for practitioners across the Mobile community. Instruction at the academy is headed by owner and head instructor Corey J. Richardson, who earned a black belt from Eric Silver, a Rickson Gracie black belt. Classes focus on positional leverage, defensive movement, distance management, and submission control within a family-oriented training atmosphere. Academy coursework is structured into focused training divisions for children and adults. Programs include Adult Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, the S.A.F.E. no-gi beginner self-defense course for participants ages 15 and older, and adult kickboxing. Youth offerings feature Kids' Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for ages 5 to 7 and 8 to 11 alongside striking classes for ages 8 to 12. Prospective students can attend an introductory free trial class.
