Hebron Brazilian Jiu Jitsu delivers martial arts education and defensive tactics training at 111 Main St in Hebron, Connecticut. Operating as a branch of Bushido Jiu-Jitsu Academy, established in 1999, the training center conducts programs in gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mixed martial arts, and youth self-defense, providing complimentary introductory classes for first-time students. Academy founder Rob Magao is a third-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, twenty-five-year law enforcement veteran, SWAT instructor, and developer of the Officer Survival Series. The Hebron facility is co-owned by black belt Rich McKeegan, president of the Blackbelts for Butterflies autism organization. Instructional leadership also includes third-degree black belt and high school wrestling coach Gerry Navara, alongside lead mixed martial arts and youth coach Jerry Lashway, a military veteran holding black belts across five combat disciplines. Coursework includes adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals, advanced grappling, youth jiu-jitsu divided into ages five to seven and eight to thirteen, and Officer Survival Series instruction, serving Manchester, Hebron, Vernon, and South Windsor.
