Heroes Martial Arts Academy Trussville provides martial arts and combat sports training at 1840 Gadsden Hwy #112 in Birmingham, Alabama. Founded by head instructor Chris Mize, the school serves students throughout the Trussville and greater Birmingham metropolitan areas. Instruction is directed by Chris Mize, a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Associate Instructor in Combat Submission Wrestling under Erik Paulson. Professor Robby Eaton holds a 3rd Degree Gracie Jiu Jitsu black belt awarded by Pedro Sauer under Mize, along with a CSW Coach Level 1 certification and 26 years of martial arts experience. The teaching staff also includes brown belt Steven Brown. Academy coursework encompasses Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Combat Submission Wrestling as the primary no-gi grappling program, Civilian Tactical personal protection, and youth martial arts. Memberships require no contracts or fees, and students may bring their own gi.
