Illinois Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy

Illinois Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy was founded in 2016 and operates at 126 E Main St, Mascoutah, IL 62258. Prospective students can register for a 1 week free trial, and moms train free alongside an active child membership. Instruction is directed by Owen Brickell, who serves as Owner and Head Coach with the rank of Black Belt. Coach Brickell earned his black belt from Ray Casias and Robert Drysdale, bringing competitive grappling and military service background to the academy. Training programs include Tiny Gorillas for ages 5-7, Little Gorillas for ages 8-13, and Teen and Adult classes for ages 14 and older. Weekly group instruction runs Monday through Thursday across gi and no-gi formats, while Saturday is reserved for private lessons and the facility remains closed on Friday and Sunday.
