Independent Grappling operates at 1111 Barranca #400 in El Paso, TX 79935. Facility training hours run Monday — Thursday from 5:00pm — 8:00pm, Friday from 5:00pm-7:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am — 1:00pm, with the academy closed Sunday. The academy describes itself as a competition-focused jiu-jitsu academy. Training includes grappling focused on high level competition like ADCC, IBJJF, Superfights. Roster athletes featured on Team IG include Alexis Ortiz, Matt Muniz, Mathew Hendren, RJ Herrera, and Deztiny Hernandez. The membership base includes competitors, parents, students, and professionals. Athletic development is supported with strength & conditioning coaching from Torch Fitness. In addition, members have access to recovery protocols from Rouge Recovery. The academy welcomes students training for competition, fitness, or self-defense.
