Ironbound Boxing Academy

Ironbound Boxing Academy is a non-profit combat sports and youth athletic organization situated at 226 Rome Street in Newark, New Jersey. The academy is registered with USA Boxing and directed by certified USA Boxing coaches to provide athletic instruction and mentoring for urban youth. The facility delivers structured boxing training designed to cultivate physical fitness, ring mechanics, and athletic discipline. Athletes train in stance, footwork, punch execution, and defensive positioning through rigorous conditioning drills, heavy bag work, and supervised competitive preparation. Through its Courage Academy and Thrive Initiative, the organization provides free intensive coaching, educational support, and small business entrepreneurship mentoring. Dedicated participants commit up to fifteen hours per week to workouts, developing perseverance, self-confidence, and leadership skills within the Newark community.
