Jiu Jitsu Performance Academy

Jiu Jitsu Performance Academy is located at 813 Perry Rd in Apex, NC 27502. The academy serves students across the local area from Apex to Holly Springs to Cary. New practitioners can begin martial arts training by registering to try their first BJJ class free. The academy was established by Sean Spangler, a 4th Degree Black Belt who wrestled at NC State University and earned his black belt from Robert Drysdale in 2009. Professor Spangler originally opened an academy in Cary in 2014 before relocating to Apex. The coaching staff also includes 1st Degree Black Belt Conrad Faust, assistant coach John Blair, and wrestling coach Tyler Blanchard. Program tracks include Adult BJJ, Adult No-Gi / Grappling, Muay Thai, and Judo. The No-Gi Grappling classes are scheduled Tuesday & Thursday during morning and evening sessions, while children can train in youth programs such as Mighty Raptors for age 5-7.
