JM Modern Jiu Jitsu

JM Modern Jiu Jitsu provides combat sports and martial arts training at 14141 Airline Highway, Building 4 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Operating since 2013, the 6,500-square-foot facility contains two full mat areas, locker room facilities, showers, and a cold plunge. The school was founded by coach Josh Mancuso, who began teaching in 2007 and has personally produced more than 40 black belts. Training centers on a hybrid curriculum that integrates Brazilian jiu-jitsu with folkstyle wrestling, freestyle wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, and Russian sambo to develop practical grappling and takedown skills. Course offerings include gi and no-gi jiu-jitsu, beginner classes, ADCC submission fighting, and mixed martial arts. Youth training begins at age 3 through kids gi and kids no-gi jiu-jitsu classes. Memberships are structured on monthly or weekly schedules without long-term contracts, and prospective practitioners can attend a complimentary trial class.
