Jukido Academy | Jujitsu & Karate Self-Defense delivers traditional martial arts education in Flagler County, Florida. Founded in October 1999, the dojo serves students and families across Palm Coast, Bunnell, and Flagler Beach with focused training in classical Japanese self-defense and personal discipline. The academy is directed by Chief Instructor Master George Rego, a Portuguese-American martial artist holding the ranks of Rokudan (6th degree black belt) in Jukido Jujitsu and Sandan (3rd degree black belt) in Kokondo Karate. Master Rego serves as Senior Director of Strategy and Technical Standards for the International Kokondo Association and author of The Founding of Jujutsu & Judo in America. The academy's technical lineage traces directly to Shihan Paul Arel, who founded Kokondo Martial Arts and Jukido Jujitsu in 1950 after training under jujutsu master Sudo Sensei. Instruction emphasizes realistic self-defense principles based on balance displacement, joint locks, throws, and controlled restraint. Programs include the Children's Jujitsu Program, Adult Jujitsu, Kokondo Karate, Women's Self-Defense, and Yudanshakai black belt classes.
