Kensei Judo

Kensei Judo operates at 4075 Evergreen Village Square #100 in San Jose, California. The traditional dojo is an official affiliate of USA Judo, operating out of a 4,500-square-foot facility equipped with a 2,000-square-foot spring-supported judo tatami floor. Instruction is led by head sensei Soren Ogden, a nidan who competed for the San Jose State University judo team, alongside competition coach Lincoln Han, a yondan originally from Beijing. The instructional staff also includes adult program lead Albert Chen, a shodan, and grappling coach Akrura Gordillo, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu nidan. Training focuses on classical Kodokan judo mechanics, including kuzushi unbalancing, throwing techniques, hold-downs, armlocks, and controlled falling. Programs are structured by age and experience level, offering Youth Judo for children ages 4 to 12, alongside Junior and Adult Judo divisions.
